Our mission at Glynn County Animal Services Division
is to enforce the
State laws and County ordinances pertaining to animal control and management;
to educate the community in responsible pet ownership; to provide for the housing
and care of homeless animals, coordinate their adoption when possible and their
humane euthanization when adoption is not possible.
The Animal Services Advisory Board advises the county in matters involving
the humane care of animals housed at the center and in the community, raises money
to aid in that care and to ensure every animal leaving the center is spayed or
neutered, in compliance with current state laws. Some other projects that have
resulted from donations are the purchase and outfitting of the mobile adoption
unit, the purchase of Kuranda Dog Beds
for dogs housed at the shelter,
providing veterinary care for sick or injured animals at the shelter, and
outfitting the Glynn County Fire Department with life saving resuscitation equipment
for pets.
But we can't do this on our own. We need your help!
Donations made to the Animal Services Advisory Board are kept in a separate account
and used strictly to fund additional projects at the shelter that are not budgeted
by Glynn County or paid for by tax dollars. Please click on the "Donate" link above
and help us help the animals!
The Glynn County Animal Services Advisory Board meets monthly on the third
Wednesday of the month. Meetings are held at the center and open to the public. Click the "Contact" link
